EUROSUD won Erasmus Mundus funding from the European Union in 2018 to launch this world-leading postgraduate programme about Southern Europe as a distinct region with its own identity and global role.
Between 2019 and 2024 EUROSUD will have been delivered to 100 students from 51 countries. In 2023 the EUROSUD programme will continue with;
- The same consortium partners (from the University of Glasgow; National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; Autonomous University of Madrid; LUISS Guido Carli; and Aix-Marseille University); and winter school partner (Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa)
- The same structure (2yrs, 120 ECTS) and choice of courses and study tracks;
- The same mobility periods over four semesters (in Scotland; Greece or Spain; and Greece, Spain, Italy or France);
- The same joint/double degree will be awarded by the relevant partners;
- The same opportunities to access placements and second language acquisition.
In short, the quality student experience remains the same and is reflected through the EUROSUD student blog here. Please note there is a capped number of places for the EUROSUD programme and applicants are urged to register their interest for September 2023 as soon as possible. Applicants that have funding from scholarship bodies should declare this directly to the EUROSUD team [eurosud@glasgow.ac.uk] so that a place can be reserved from them.
