The programme held a ‘Pot Luck’ event for the EUROSUD students on 6 December, at the Queen Margaret Union (QMU) at the University of Glasgow, to say our farewells to the students before they headed off to their next mobility location at either National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) or Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). There was a selection of food and baking from all corners of the globe – well done to our students for the great effort made to bring us a tasting of delicious food from their home countries.
The Scottish selection of smoked salmon, haggis, neeps and potato bites with the added scotch whisky tasting went down a treat. We had a good laugh as students tasted the whisky then made funny faces as it hit the back of the throat, too much for some! It was a ‘sight to see’!
All the food went down a treat and much fun was had on the night. It proved to be a great ending to the first semester in Glasgow. We will miss the presence of our lovely students!
